However, season 19 of the famous show premiered on April 19, 2023, where the new captains are Captain Sig Hansen, and his daughter. This season introduced a new fishing vessel FV Northwestern. 

The new season has a new set of rules to abide by. The ships and the crews will have new deadlines, more stress, and much more dangerous conditions. This is one of the deadliest jobs on water which makes the show interesting and intriguing to watch.
