Captain Wild Bill Wichrowski

Wild Bill Wichrowski is the captain of Kodiak Crab Boat from Irwin, PA. He is also a Navy veteran and commercial fisherman. 

In 1975, he completed his graduation from Norwin High School. Aftward, he moved to the West Coast when he joined the Navy.

Alaska's king-crab fisherman military service lasted only four years and has drawn to the Bering Sea.  

Throughout his career, he shares his experience as a boat electrician, naval engineer, and commercial fisherman.

He joined as the cast member of the Award-winning Discovery Channel show Deadliest Catch after he started commercial fishing. 

He wanted to try his luck after a five-year absence from crabbing. 

Following that, he became the captain of Deadliest Catch in 6th season. As a new captain, he joins the other boat at the opening of king crab season.

In season 8, Rise and Fall, Captain Bill was forced to shut down spare fishing after his two crew members nearly came to clashes. 

As a result, he pushes them to mark an impatiently written document endangering them with quick termination for any unprofessional behavior in the future.

Over three decades, Wild Bill has worked as a crab fisherman and dealt with life-threatening situations like accidents, brutal weather, isolation, and sleep deprivation. 

In his career, he captained Summer Bay, Cape Caution, Zone Five, Arctic Eagle, Sandra Five, and Kodiak.

Besides fishing on the Alaska coast, he spares his free time with sports fishing, horseback riding, and traveling.
