Love Everlasting ends with Bridger Jenkins's demise and Clover having his daughter. He completed his dream to reach the ocean at the end of the movie.
Jenkins had a heart transplant when he was a child. As a result, he has a scar on his chest as a birthmark.
While he and his mother, Helen, escape from the house of his abusive father to see the ocean, they end up in a small town.
They meet Will, who lets them stay with him. Jenkins starts connecting with Will's daughter Clover as they share similarities.
On graduation day, in Greenville high school, Bridger Jenkins encounters the school bully Bo.
Roman appeared in the fighting scene when more damage happened to Bridger. He went into a coma, and the doctor mentioned his body rejecting the heart transplant, which could lead to heart failure.
His mother worried he would pass away soon as the transplant list could take months.
As Clover reads the book, he wakes up from a coma and proposes to her. After their parent's approval, the couple gets married.
They decide to grant Bridger's final wish and see the ocean together. While the couple's parents headed for the hotel, they stayed in the truck.
When Bridger woke up in the morning, he walked down and touched the soil on the beach. Meanwhile, Clover wakes up and finds out her husband is no more with her.
Their parents arrive at the scene and attempt to save him but could not. After the demise of Bridger, the story ends with Clover having a baby girl, and they live happily with Will and Helen.
Although viewers thought it had a horrible climax, they loved it. While some felt there was no clear storyline, and the end felt forced and fast.
Some say it was like they had to finish the movie in 5 minutes, so they just slapped together a confusing, weird, sloppy conclusion.
