Legacy BET Plus cast includes Ving Rhames, AJ Johnsons and Lisa Ray in lead roles. The first season is available only on BET Plus.

Ving Rhames and AJ Johnson are reuniting on screen for this new show. The two previously appeared together in John Singleton’s 2001 drama Baby Boy.

Ving Rhames As Guy Simmons

Ving Rhames portrays the character of Guy Simmons, a prominent gangster and the patriarch of the Simmons family.

He has the most powerful crime family in the southern underworld.

Although Simmons rules the streets, a sibling rivalry breaks out as he fights for his life, endangering both his legacy and his illegal business.

But, all of his hard work is now in jeopardy because of his womanizing tendencies. His sons' mothers are feuding with one another. 

Also the actor was a part of the recently released film The Locksmith. He played a similar role in the film.

The movie debuted on February 3, 2023, where he was co-starred by actors like Ryan Phillipe, Kate Bosworth, and Kaylee Bryant.

Lisa Raye McCoy As Debra

Lisa plays the character of Debra in the series. She is the wife of Simmons in the story.

She is an American actress, fashion designer, model, and businesswoman.

The actress was also the first lady of Turks and Caicos Island. She is best known for her role as Diana Armstrong in the 1998 film The Players Club.

Her other projects like You Married Dat is yet to be released. 

From 2006 to 2010, she was also married to Michael Misick, the first premier of the Turks and Caicos Islands, and during that period she served as the country's first lady.

Adrienne-Joi Johnson

The show also has star actress Adrienne which has added more star power to the show.

Her versatile acting and screenplay will add as a bonus to the series and make people which will make people praise her performance.

She has been acting since 1987 and has been in many sitcoms, television dramas, and music videos, as well as countless supporting roles in movies like House Party and Baby Boy.

Johnson has also appeared in Touched by an Angel, A Different World, In the Heat of the Night, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Amen, and A Different World.

Clifton Powell

Clifton Powell plays the supporting role in the suspense series Legacy.

He is most known for his supporting work in movies with Ray, for which he was nominated for an NAACP Image Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture.

Since the 1980s, Powell has made almost a hundred different movies. Menace II Society and Why Do Fools Fall in Love are among his filmography.

In addition to having cameo appearances on In the Heat of the Night, Murder, and House MD.

Powell also had regular parts on the television show Roc, South Central, and Army Wives.
