Originally aired on Paramount Network, Ink Master debuted on January 17, 2012. The competition series has 14 seasons under its belt, with the last season (S14) released on September 7, 2022.

The show features talented tattoo artists who compete in various challenges showcasing their art and tattoo-related artistic skills.

Renowned tattoo artists and enthusiasts judge the contenders, with one or more contestants eliminated in each episode. The winner wins the title of Ink Master and a $100,000 prize.

The last contestant standing is also featured in Inked Magazine.

Following Season 13, Paramount Network canceled the reality series on September 22, 2020. Later, on February 24, 2021, Paramount+ announced that the series would be revived.

The revived series, Season 14, aired from September 7 to November 2, 2022.


Ink Master Season 1 Finale Tattoos

Ink Master season 1 finale tattoos include a Japanese calf sleeve tattoo, dark and heavy tattoo. The finalists were Shane O'Neill, Tommy Helm, and James Vaughn.

    For his 6-hour tattoo, he made a gorgeous woman with beautiful hands, a soft face, and fabric wrapped around her.

    Judge Oliver Peck assigned James, who came third, to ink the Japanese calf sleeve. For his 6-hour tattoo, he made a colorful flower tattoo.

    Ink Master Season 2 Finale Tattoos

    Ink Master Season 2 finale tattoos include a winged woman, Norse-inspired pieces, and demon tattoos.

    Being runner-up, Sarah made two Norse-inspired pieces. She certainly did a very nice job and earned second place.

    Sebastian, who came third, made a gigantic piece of a demon clawing its way out of the flesh of his human canvas' back. Unfortunately, his final tattoo was quite disappointing.

    Ink Master Season 3 Finale Tattoos

    Ink Master Season 3 finale tattoos include a mermaid tattoo, a battle royale tattoo, and a woman tattoo. Season 3 finalists were Joey Hamilton, Jime Litwalk, and Katherine "Tatu Baby" Flores.

    Tatu Baby opted to make a back piece featuring a partially nude Native American woman and a wolf. The judges had issues with its continuity and placement.

    Ink Master Season 4 Finale Tattoos

    Ink Master Season 4 finale tattoos are gothic women. Season 4 finalists were Scott Marshall, Walter Frank, and Matti Hixson.

    Sausage, who earned second place, worked with his human canvas to tattoo a gothic woman, holding a heart in her hand and a crow above her.

    Matti, who came third, made a woman with wings and a snake around her neck. The judges criticized the woman's neck, and the artist's decision to not have the hair flow.

    Ink Master Season 5 Finale Tattoos

    Ink Master Season 5 finale tattoos consist of color realism and school piece tattoos. Season 5 finalists were Jason Clay Dunn, James Steinke, and Erik Siuda.

    James aka Cleen Rock One and Erik determined that Jason will ink a new school piece. Jason and Erik choose color realism for Cleen. Jason and Cleen opt for color realism for Erik.

    He was declared Ink Master for Season 5.

    Cleen acquired the second position with his stunning 35-hour color realism back piece.

    Siuda's color realism back piece earned second place. His rivals chose the style for him hoping to throw him off with a style in which he wasn't comfortable.

    Ink Master Season 6 Finale Tattoos

    Ink Master Season 6 finale tattoos include an American traditional tattoo, a pinup girl tattoo, and color realism. The finalists were Dave Kruseman, Chris Blinton, and Matt O'Baugh.

    Dave created a 6-hour American traditional tattoo. For the final competition, he brought an American traditional tattoo. The string, saturated, and clean art won first place.

    Chris got color realism on the viewer's choice. Next, he made a large-scale, full-color tattoo of a pinup girl. He earned second place.

    Matt, who came third, got color realism and admitted he didn't campaign for it. Sadly, his 6-hour work didn't make it to the final challenge.

    Ink Master Season 7 Finale Tattoos

    Ink Master Season 7 finale tattoos include chest art and arm tattoos. The finalists were Anthony Michales, Cleen Rock One, and Christian Buckingham.

    For the finale, Anthony made a chest piece of a red Japanese Dragon. His sleeve tattoo was criticized as it didn't go around the arm. However, he earned the first place.

    Ink Master Season 5 Runner-up, Cleen, earned the same spot in Season 5. He received positive feedback for his chest piece. But his sleeve tattoo failed to meet the judges' standard.

    Christian did a great chest piece tattooing the American traditional. Sadly, he did not receive the peer-group jury's vote to be in the top two.

    Ink Master Season 8 Finale Tattoos

    Ink Master Season 8 finale tattoo includes a watercolor coral reef tattoo and a Japanese tattoo. Season 8 finalists were Ryan Ashley Malarkey, Gian Karle Cruz, and Kelly Doty.

    Kelly challenged Ryan to make two giant 90s-inspired New School Dueling hot rods featuring big outlines. For her 7-hour challenge, she made a 'black and grey tattoo with a fine line.

    The art earned Ryan first place.

    Gian was tasked to make a watercolor coral reef for his 24-hour challenge. For the final round, he designed a Japanese tattoo. He became the Season 8 Runner-up.

    Kelly made an American traditional tattoo showcasing a ship, anchors, and mermaids. For the live tattoo, he worked on a New School art.

    Sadly, she did not get to show her master canvas.

    Ink Master Season 9 Finale Tattoos

    Ink Master Season 9 finale tattoos include color, live, and large-scale tattoos. The season featured 36 contestants competing in teams of two.

    Season 9 finalists were DJ Tambe & Aaron "Bubba" Irwin (Old Town Ink), Katie McGowan & Matt O'Baugh ('Black Cobra Tattoos), and Christian Buckingham & Noelin Wheeler (Basilica Tattoo).

    Old Town Ink's Bubba and Tambe were crowned the winners of Ink Master Season 9, with their two stunning back tattoos.

    Ink Master Season 10 finale tattoos include full-scale and head tattoos. Season 10 finalists were Josh Payne, Juan Salgado, and Roly T-Rex.

    The finalists needed to create a full-scale tattoo. The team coaches were also competing for a victory of their own. They were required to ink a head tattoo on a master canvas.

    With their combined determination and skills, Payne and Tambe brought their team to victory.

    Salgado and Michaels earned second place. This is Salgado's stunning finale battle royal tattoo.

    For his 24-hour tattoo, themed "Battle Royale," Roly created a technically impressive chest piece. The judges praised him for his technical chop.

    Ink Master Season 11 Finale Tattoos

    Ink Master Season 11 finale tattoos include a 35-hour master canvas backpiece. The finalists were Tony Medellin, Teej Poole, and Tiffer Wright.

    Tony's 35-hour master canvas won judges' hearts with the bold color saturation and the use of the linework. They even argued this was the strongest art they'd seen from him all season.

    His work granted him the title of Ink Master.

    Teej's master canvas impressed the judges with the fine detail and textures of the art. Nunez wished that the piece had more texture in the helmet. He was named the Runner-up.

    Although, Tiffer did not advance to the final two, his master canvas featured illustrative quality. Nunez complimented the shape of the piece but criticized the color saturation.

    Ink Master Season 12 Finale Tattoos

    Ink Master Season 12 finale tattoos are colored Japanese and a biomechanical tattoo. The finalists were Laura Marie, Dani Ryan, and Creepy Jason.

    Dani was tasked with color biomechanical. She was shown tattooing using a car generator at her home studio when the power was knocked out. She earned second place.

    Jason executed a 'black-and-grey realism backpiece. He chose a sexy pirate and the judges praised the many details he include in his art. However, he didn't make it to the top two.

    Ink Master Season 13 Finale Tattoos

    Ink Master Season 13 finale tattoos are harpy and a Grecian warriors. They were 25-hour master canvases.

  • There was no winner for Season 13, due to the Covid pandemic. The three finalists were awarded an undisclosed value monetary value.

    Bob created a 'black-and-grey harpy, which many fans thought would win him the Ink Master title. His chest piece was a color bio-mechanical -a familiar style for him.

    Rose also presented a 'black-and-grey backpiece, featuring two Grecian warriors. For her second 25-hour tattoo, she chose a color bio-mechanical chest piece.

    Jimmy made a 'black-and-grey tattoo of a female Grim Reaper. For his 25-hour chest piece, he opted for his signature style of American traditional.

    Ink Master Season 14 Finale Tattoos

    Ink Master Season 14 finale tattoos are 24-hour backpiece Master Canvases. The finalists were DJ Tambe, Gian Karle, Bob Jones, and Creepy Jason.

  • Rose and Michales return to form the jury of peers and chose DJ to be in the top three. They eliminated Jason and later Bob.

    DJ went into his art with a sketch and no major plans. He just wanted to have fun with this one and create a moment.

    "Having a brain full of madness is one of my struggles also, so I thought putting them together was fitting," he wrote on his Instagram.

    "Even though I didn’t win, I feel honored to be a part of this show and compete next to some of the best artists in Inkmaster history," wrote Karle on his Instagram.

    Jones' made a 24-hour backpiece of a porcelain mechanical dragon. "I wanted this piece to represent an artist's journey to greatness," he wrote on his Instagram.
