Yellowstone Season 5 Episode 8 aired a title card paying tribute to horseman Dr Glenn Blodgett. He is remembered as a pioneer in equine theriogenology.

Viewers saw the 6666 Ranch for the first time this season in Yellowstone. The audience got a little taste of Jimmy's new life and how cheerful he is there. It also showcased a few scenes of animal care with Emily.

The Four Sixes Ranch will be forever indebted for the love and care, Dr. Blodgett provided to it. He had been with the historic Ranch at Guthrie, Texas, since 1982. In his day-to-day life, he cared about horses in every way he could.

He also looked after the breeding of legendary stallions Dash for Cash, Streakin Six, Special Effort, One Famous Eagle, Tanquery Gin, Mr. Kess Perry, and many more. He mentored thousands of senior veterinary students throughout the state and abroad at the 6666 Ranch.

A member of the Texas Horse Racing Hall of Fame, Blodgett also served on the board of the American Association of Equine Practitioners. In 1988, he was appointed to the Texas Horse Racing Commission.

Also a trustee of the National Cutting Horse Association Foundation, in 2019, Dr. Blodgett was inducted into the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame. Additionally, in 2021, he was inducted into the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame.

Born on December 21, 1948, Blodgett traveled a long way in his 74 years of life -from the family farm in Spearman, Texas, to be the president of the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA). He breathed his last on November 20, 2022.
